The type of personal information collected here

I currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (such as name and contact details); and
  • Cookies (small text files of non-personally identifying information saved on your computer or mobile device when you visit, which enables this website to remember your actions and preferences, such as login, language, font size and other display preferences for a limited period of time). Please see the Cookie Notice below which sets out our cookie policy in more detail.

How I collect your personal information and why I have it

Most of the personal information I process is provided directly by you when you comment on this website or contact me using the form embedded on the ‘Contact Us’ page. I will receive your username and email address.

I use the information that you have given me in order to respond to your enquiries. The only circumstances in which I will share your data are to comply with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than to comply with my legal obligations. I will not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary to answer your query, and I will securely store any data collected during that period. After this time I will delete your data from my records. However, any data uploaded to this site in the form of comments or identifiers on comments will remain for as long as this site remains active.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis that I rely on for processing your information is that you have chosen to consent.

If you choose to make a purchase from my Etsy page then you should familiarise yourself with the privacy policy detailed there, which differs from the policy set out here because it concerns online purchases and the privacy policies of other organisations such as Etsy and delivery companies.

Your rights

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe there is a problem with the way that I handle your data.
